Before shots....

We have just finished painting our living room, what a job!! we had horrible wood panelling on one wall and in the hallway. So we decided to paint over it, so we had to fill the grooves and sand it and fill it and sand it! Then we were able to put the base coat "Chocolate Froth" on, boy did it ever lighten that room up, we had a texture paint to put on top of that, "Bellagio Faux" depending on what colour base coat you pick you then get the texture paint to put on top of it. It has small balls of paint in it that you "splat" with a trowel looking thing, we picked the one that had a greyish tint due to the silver metallic paint thats in there....its so pretty it looks like wallpaper. We chose to go with Louvre blinds and get rid of the venetian ones, i hated them anyway!!All in all we are very VERy happy with it, it looks so brigth in there now, all we have to do now is get the carpet!!! Watch this space as they say!!!

My son

My son flew back to Britain on Friday, i am so sad, i howled in the airport, howled going back to the car and howled all the way home ( and hour and 20 mins). Then when i got home i went into his room and sat and on the bed and howled some more. i think my poor hubby thought i was having a breakdown of some sort!! No i was just very very sad. i know he will come back but it was just nice having him here, hearing him whistle around the house, telling him to turn his music down, you know all the stuff that 20 year olds drive you to distraction doing. But i enjyoyed telling him, he made me laff he made me cry and it was so wonderful. i miss you son, come back soon.

Ok so i am now over my pneumonia ( at last) We got the statement form the insurance company, i noticed my Doc's office charge 88 bucks for a shot.....................i told my hubby he could have given it to me and that would have saved some money, but then i looked at the expression that came over his face and thought, MAYBE not!! I think there would have been a little bit TOO much happiness in that shot and he would have maybe stuck the needle in a little harder than it should have been!!!!!! Those shots sting, its not the needle its the stuff they have in it, she said it would sting, i was ok for a second or two then whammo!!!! i mean i was going ow, oh ow, ow ow ow. They made me sit for 15 mins cos i am allergic to penicillin and the shot the gave me they wanted to make sure i wasn't going to have an ill effects from, but when i stood up to come out OUCH OUCH OUCH!!!!!!!! i was rubbing it for ages trying to get it to stop hurting. I know, i am a puss as my hubby likes to call me!!!!!!! He says he knows i could never be a drug addict..... i would faint at the sight of the needle........not sure if that is a compliment or not......somehow i think not!!!!!! But all is well and i am better, thank you lord!
