i was reading a blog from the BBC about Jackalope hunting, i was reading through the comments when i came across this little gem, unfortunately for me i was drinking water at the time and it went up my nose as i laughed!!
"When you come back here you can take part in our annual Haggis hunt. The season starts on the 1st April at one minute past midnight and finishes at midday 1st April. This year as a conservation measure you can only shoot clockwise mature Haggi that's those with the short legs on the right hand side. Shooting of faggots (baby haggi with only six legs) has of course been banned for some years now. In 2010 it will be the season for shooting anti clockwise animals. Good luck."
Hilarious i think!!!

Ordering water...
Now who would have thought that ordering water could be so wrought with language problems. I of course have an English Accent, i am indeed English so that would be why. There have been several times that i have tried to order a glass of water in a restaurant and have had either blank looks thrown at me or i get Beer......yes i said Beer. I went to our local Mexican place and ordered a water or so i thought and he brought me a beer, much to my husbands delight and my puzzlement. He had to order me my water...i thought why in the world would he think "water" sounded like "beer"??
Then i went to Golden Corral one day and ask for water and i get "what?" i think it was 4 times i asked until a little portugese exchange student that was serving there said i know what she wants and gave me my water, the American lady had no idea what i wanted, i was irritated by then cos this lady was being really rude by now. All i kept getting from her was "what, what do you want...." her attitude was extremely rude. Then today, i asked for lemonade, cant go wrong with that i thougjht.....sorry we dont have it.............well rats i think,i really wanted water so i asked, nope sorry we dont have that, what says i you dont have water??????? what place i am thinking to myself doesnt have water?????????? So i looked at her and i said, you dont have water?, so she looks at me and my hubby says in his wonderful american drawl......"warder."....... oh says the lady all smiles "warder"!!!!! yes i said exactly...by then he and she are giggling all over the place and i want to cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh i just love the way you speak says she.....i could listen to that all day.... and her am i thinking yes but i wont get fed!!!! So i tell my darling hubby from now on HE orders my drinks!!!!!!!!!!
I love you Americans, you brighten my day!!!

Fresh air!
I have one of those Air purifiers, when i got up this morning i noticed it smells really fresh in the house, i mean REALLY fresh, i think my allergies would be far worse if i didn't have it. I have 3 cats and you wouldn't know it, i keep the cat box really clean but i think in some houses you can still smell cats, but nope not in this house!! I found beanie, lounging in the sun this morning, he had crawled behind my vertical blinds and was snoozing in the sun!! so i opened the front door and put the catch on the storm door and let him snooze in a bigger patch of sun,. he is a sun bathing fool!! he loves the sun! When we lived in a diff house i had a table in the dinning room and it got the sun all afternoon there was many a time i caught him lolling on the table in the full glare and heat of the midday sun fast asleep stretched out so i took a pic of him and scrap booked it.
Been a very stressful day, i have issues with my bank, also issues with someone who will remain nameless but never the less causes undue stress to others and to me. Such a jerk and a control freak. Is not happy unless they are in control of what people do. So i took it to God, i am trying to do that more these days, i have a few issues that i know i need to talk to God about.
So into the weekend, we have nothing planned so it will be a nice relaxing weekend i hope, just me and the old man!!!!!!!! HEHEHEHE my sweetie that is!!!! have a good weekend all.

I have just finished watching the movie " The Dambusters", i have seen it a few times but not in a few years, it made me feel extremely proud to be British and very very thankful for all those that gave their lives in that episode of History. If you have never seen the movie you have to find it on DVD or video somewhere, its great. It was either last year or the year before that they had a fly past to commemorate the anniversary of that day, the last surviving ( i think its the last surviving flying Lancaster bomber) flew over a dam along with a spitfire and a hurricane in tribute, i wish i could have seen it, it would have been spectacular. What a way to say thank you in these modern times, it was an incredible time in history and if it wasnt for those that gave their lives we would not be here today to enjoy the things we do. So thank you, to all who served, then and now.

Snow facts....
Britain had its worst snowfall for 18 years over night, i swiped this from the Daily Mirror online newspaper i read every day!!
I get very little snow this season and my home country gets bathed in it!!! Oh well!!!
10. What was the biggest snowman ever?
The biggest snowman was built by the villagers of Bethel in Maine, USA in 2008. It was 122ft 1in tall & weighed 13,000,000lb. The eyes were 5ft wreaths.
9. How many take the day off work when it snows?
One in five people take the day off when snow is heavy, although these days, many people can opt to work from home and avoid the nightmare commute.
8. Why is London unable to function in one foot of snow?
London can’t function in deep snow because it’s such a rarity. If it happened regularly, there’d be teams of snow clearers ready at a moment’s notice.
7. When was the heaviest snowfall in the UK?
The heaviest snowfall in the UK was in 1695. It snowed every day in London for 5 weeks - and the Thames froze over. The snow didn’t fully clear till mid-April.
6. What temperature produces the perfect snowball?
0C produces the perfect snowball. The best ones are made in advance and stored for a few hours to firm them up. Dig deep for snow that’s easier to pack
5. Is it true that if you are trapped outside in the cold you should compact yourself in the snow to keep warm?
Some experts suggest burying yourself in snow for warmth, deer style, but most recommend using a snow shovel to dig a snow hole for maximum benefit.
4. Is it ever too cold to snow?
Below -30C, there is usually not enough moisture in the air for it to snow, but it is technically possible at any temperature. Snow has fallen at -41C.
3. How many water molecules in the average snowflake?
The average snowflake is made up of 180 billion molecules of water and falls at a speed of 3.1mph. The largest recorded snowflake was 15 inches wide.
2. How does grit stop snow settling?
The grit is rock salt. The salt lowers the freezing point of the snow on the road and helps it to melt. The grit component helps tyres to grip the road.
1. Why is snow white not blue?
Snow is white, not blue, because its crystalline structure reflects white light in all directions. Ice is more dense and so appears clear.
